Boy rushed from pool at CoCo Key Hotel to hospital, OCFR says

Officials: Child was unconscious

ORLANDO, Fla. – A boy was taken to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children after an incident at the pool at the CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort, officials said Saturday.

The child was unconscious when he was transported to the hospital, according to Orange County Fire Rescue. It’s not clear what his current condition is, officials said.

Dispatchers said the boy is 9 years old.

News 6 asked an employee at the hotel’s front desk to speak with a manager, but we were told the manager was busy.

The hotel has no comment at this time, the front desk worker said, adding that the resort is working with authorities.

The water park remains open.

When News 6 asked about whether lifeguards are typically on duty, the woman at the front desk said again, she had no comment.

We asked several people in parking lot if they saw or heard anything and they said no.
