Break-ins investigated at Osceola schools

Several items stolen from Poinciana, Liberty high schools

POINCIANA, Fla. – Osceola County sheriff's detectives are investigating whether burglaries at two schools are connected.

Poinciana and Liberty high schools were broken into over the weekend, sheriff's officials said.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said the school resource officer at Poinciana High School on Monday reported that several items had been stolen from the school.

The school resource officer at Liberty High School was also notified by school officials about a burglary there.

Detectives are trying to identify the culprits to see if the burglaries are linked.
