BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – The Brevard County Sheriff's Office announced the name of its newest Patrol K-9 unit German shepherd in a Facebook post Sunday.

The puppy named "Behr" was named after his handler, Deputy Lance Behringer.

"The name was suggested by Vicki McDaniel and fits perfectly as the spelling is an adoption of Deputy Behringer's last name and a fitting title, as this big fellow looks like a bear anyways," the post said.
