Brevard deputies investigate possible child abduction

No missing child reports filed in area

VIERA, Fla. – Brevard County deputies on Thursday continue to investigate a suspicious incident after a 12-year-old said he saw another boy being forced into a car.

The boy said he was on Murrell Road and Country Club Drive in Viera on Wednesday when he saw a vehicle pull up to a boy who appeared to be about 7 years old.

The 12-year-old said a man got out of the vehicle, grabbed the other boy around the waist and forced him into the back seat of the car. The man then got back into the car and drove off.

The Sheriff's Office said it has not received any reports of a missing child.  Deputies said they will canvass the area on Thursday and check with area schools about any possible attendance issues.

The boy pulled into the car was described as having sandy brown hair. He was wearing a green shirt and blue shorts.

The vehicle was described as a white four-door vehicle with black accents around the doors. The vehicle was occupied by two men, one of whom was wearing an orange shirt with black shorts.
