Brevard residents asked to limit sewer usage amid flooding

Limited use to help in avoiding overflows, backups

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Brevard County officials are asking residents to limit their sewer usage after excessive rainfall Sunday.

Officials said they are hoping the limited use of sewer will help avoid overflows, backups into homes or discharges into the Indian River lagoon.

The county is asking residents to reduce the flushing of toilets, doing laundry and long showers.
