Broadway Across America season lineup announced

Musicals bring family fun to Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – Big news tonight for Broadway fans in Central Florida. The lineup for the 2012-2013 Fairwinds Broadway Across America season is now official.
The season opens in October with Disney's "Beauty and the Beast." "Mary Poppins" and "Sister Act" are also touted as family friendly.
Ron Legler, President and CEO of the Florida Theatrical Association, says its mission is to expose Broadway to new audiences, including children.
"We want to get them hooked on Broadway at a young age, so they'll grow up, go to New York and experience it there, too."
Audiences can look forward to "Million Dollar Quartet" next fall.  It's the true story of a recording session with rock legends Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins.

Orlando Native and Dr. Phillips Highs School graduate Darcy Wood stars as Elvis's girlfriend, Dyan.

The season rounds out next spring with "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" and "Memphis."

Season ticket prices range from $170 to $600.
