Hazmat team declares CREOL building safe

ORLANDO, Fla. - A building at the University of Central Florida reopened Friday after being evacuated because of a chemical spill.

The CREOL building, which hosts the College of Optics and Photonics on Scorpius Street, was evacuated around 10 a.m., and a hazmat team was called to the campus.

The hazmat team declared the building safe for reentry about two hours later.

No injuries were reported
