Burglar commits lewd act on girl

Police release composite sketch of man

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Kissimmee police are looking for a man who burglarized a home and committed lewd acts on a child inside.

The occupied burglary occurred between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Sunday in the Orange Gardens subdivision near Phillip and Oak streets in Kissimmee.

According to police, the man broke into the home and committed lewd acts on the girl, whose age has not been released. Police said the girl is described as aged between a preteen and a toddler. She was not physically hurt in the incident.

The girl helped detectives create a composite sketch of the man, who was described as a white or Hispanic man, about 18 to 22 years old.  He was wearing a blue Polo shirt, dark blue jeans and brown work boots.

Neighbors tell Local 6 they've see the man in the area, but don't know who he is. The incident has residents in the neighborhood nervous.

"Anybody who does anything against young children or elderly doesn't deserve to be out on the street-they should lock him up," said Rigoberto Delgado.

Anyone with information about the man is urged to contact the Kissimmee Police Department or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
