Cafe owner claims to see Jesus in pancake

Pancake created on Good Friday

NORCO, Calif. – One woman sees Jesus. Others see a former president. Some are simply left rolling their eyes.

The owner of Cowgirl Cafe in Norco says she plans to preserve a pancake that appears to have a face on it. Karen Hendrickson says she believes the face is Jesus, especially since the pancake was made on Good Friday.

"He's got a mustache and a beard and it looks like he's got a receding hairline," Hendrickson told KCAL-TV.

However, Hendrickson says her customers see something different.

"Some people are saying he looks like Abraham Lincoln or a hillbilly or Charles Manson," Hendrickson said.

Hendrickson told KCAL-TV she prayed to God the night before the pancake was made.

"I said, 'Dear God, continue looking over the Cowgirl Cafe' and I thanked him for his many blessings," Hendrickson said.

The pancake has been saved on the same plate in the freezer since it was made. Hendrickson plans to preserve the pancake and put it on display in the cafe.
