Car gets wedged under semi-truck in Fruitland Park crash, Fire Rescue says

2 people now hospitalized

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. – Two people were hospitalized after a crash in which a car became wedged underneath a semi-truck, according to Lake County Fire Rescue.

The wreck took place near State Road 27 and U.S. 441 in Fruitland Park, officials said.

Two vehicles were involved. The victims hospitalized, who are both female, were taken to Leesburg Regional and flown to Ocala Regional. Their injuries are considered serious.
