Central Florida sees another windy day

High temperature to reach 81 degrees in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – Another windy day will greet Central Floridians as a warmup continues.

Coastal Flood Advisories and High Surf Advisories are posted until 11 a.m. Wednesday.

With strong northeast winds, breaking surf is reaching levels of 5-8 feet.  The highest waves will peak during high tide Tuesday around 8 p.m. and will slowly diminish during the day Wednesday, Local 6 meteorologist Julie Broughton said.

Wind Advisories expire Tuesday night at 7 p.m. but the breezy conditions will remain until at least Wednesday morning.

"These winds will continue to produce fast moving coastal showers and some slight beach erosion," said Local 6 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sorrells. "

Rain chances will be off and on for the next several days at 20 percent.

"As we roll towards the weekend the next cold front is still set arrive on Friday," Sorrells said. "This front won't be very strong but will keep a slight rain chance in the forecast."

High temperatures will be in the low and mid 80s though the weekend.  Overnight lows will be in the mid-60s.
