Central Floridians woke up to a windy, chilly morning on Friday with temperatures dipping down to the low 40s in much of the area.
Temperatures dropped significantly overnight as a cold front moved through. The highs on Friday are expected to hit the mid-60s and lows in the 40s, forecasters say.
"We're tracking a chilly day, certainly colder this morning, through the afternoon we do warm at least into the 60s," said Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges.
The National Weather Service issued a Lake Wind Advisory for Orange County on Friday with wind gusts increasing to more than 25 mph.
"The wind will continue along the coast and for inland areas," Bridges said.
On Saturday, the highs will hit the 70s with lows in the 50s continuing into Sunday.
Rain chances will increase to 30 percent on Friday and stay at 20 percent throughout the weekend.
