Chick-fil-A announced on Tuesday that it will start to serve chicken raised without antibiotics in all of its restaurants within five years.
According to a release from Chick-fil-A, the change was brought on by customers asking about antibiotics in the poultry the restaurant uses.
The restaurant chain said it will "collaborate with national and regional poultry suppliers to build a supply chain based on chickens raised with no antibiotics," and are "asking suppliers to work with the USDA to verify that antibiotics are never administered from the hatchery to the processing plant."
It's not clear when the changes will occur.
