According to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, deputies went to a home at the Cobblestone apartment complex in Kissimmee around 5 p.m. Saturday after receiving an anonymous tip and discovered the kids home alone.

The Sheriff's Office said one of the children answered the door and said to a deputy, "Policemen, mommy is not here.  I'm watching my sisters.  Can you watch us now?"

Deputies said Rodriguez returned home about two hours later and said she went to the grocery store, Best Buy and a nail salon.  She said she thought her 5-year-old was mature enough to take care of his sisters, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies contacted the Department of Children and Families, and the children were placed into the custody of their grandparents.

Rodriguez was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
