Clermont police investigate Target flasher

Woman says man exposed himself to her

CLERMONT, Fla. – Clermont police have issued a warning about a flasher they said has exposed himself to Target shoppers.

According to police, the first incident was reported last week by a woman who said a man exposed himself to her as he sat in his vehicle at the store at 2660 E. Highway 50.

Clermont police said Target sent out a memo to its employees to make them aware of the incident.

The next day, an employee of the Starbucks inside the Target store was approached by the driver of a white vehicle who asked her for directions, police said. The worker said she noticed that the man's zipper was undone so she hurried into the store, according to police.

The driver was a Hispanic man in his young 20s, police said. It's not known, however, if he's the same man who exposed himself a day earlier.

"The Clermont Police Department takes this matter seriously and is urging the community to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious behavior and/or vehicles at any our businesses, not just Target," the department said in a news release.

Clermont police released a photo of a white car that was involved in the second incident.
