Contractor to bring 200 new jobs to Orlando

Lockheed Martin Corp. adds jobs to simulation-and-training unit

ORLANDO, Fla. – Lockheed Martin Corp. is expected to add 200 jobs at its Orlando training unit.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, many of the jobs will be high-paying engineering jobs connected to the simulator programs for fighter jets.

The defense contractor currently employs 1,700 people in Orange County. The Orlando Sentinel reports the new jobs would be a 12 percent increase to the company's local business.

It's not yet known when the jobs will be added or the specific salary they will offer.
