Cooler temperatures linger in Central Florida

Warmup shows weekend highs reaching low 80s

ORLANDO, Fla. – Cooler temperatures will linger in Central Florida for the next couple days.

The Orlando area will see a high temperature of 69 degrees on Thursday, which is 11 degrees below the normal high for this time of year.

"There will be a little bit of a breeze, making things feel a bit cooler," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "There won't be any rain, however, with high pressure dominating."

Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s for most of the region, although Ocala is expected to dip into the upper 30s.

There will be a high temperature of 73 on Friday, with overnight lows around 50 degrees.

Weekend highs will be near 80, with overnight lows approaching 60 degrees.

A slim chance of rain is in Monday's forecast.

Meanwhile, a powerful Nor'easter has forced airlines to cancel flights to the Northeast, stranding travelers at Orlando International Airport.
