Groveland man arrested in NYC for making statements about killing officers, police say

Man arrested in Midtown Bus terminal on weapons possession charges

Port Authority police arrested a Groveland man in New York City on Wednesday after they say he made statements about killing police officers.

Hunter Taylor, 18, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, making a terroristic threat and unlawful possession of marijuana.

According to a release, police said Taylor was in the the Port Authority BusTerminal in Manhattan when he made statements in reference to killing officers. Police said Taylor then opened his bag and showed a firearm to a witness, who alerted authorities.

Officers found a loaded Smith and Wesson .38-caliber revolver and a small clear bag containing suspected marijuana, according to a release.

Taylor was arrested without incident.
