Police arrest man believed to have committed 29 burglaries since July

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Daytona Beach Police Department arrested a man suspected of committing 29 burglaries since July.

Terrance J. Braswell, 53, was taken into custody early Friday morning after police responded to the Coin O Magic Laundromat at 1437 South Ridgewood Avenue in reference to a burglary, according to police.

Officers stopped Braswell, who was riding a bicycle, in the 600 block of West International Speedway Boulevard, according to the arrest report.

The Daytona Police Department said officers arrested Braswell based on the surveillance video from the business, along with other evidence.

According to police, detectives had been working to solve the other burglaries, which all had similar characteristics, since July.

Once Braswell was arrested, they were able to determine he was responsible for the other 29 as well.
