ORLANDO, Fla. -

A man was tracked down and arrested after he slashed a woman, according to police.

Orlando Police said they responded to the Royal Summit Apartments early Friday for a domestic disturbance call.

When officers arrived on scene they found a woman who had been cut several times on her hand.  A man was also seen running out the back door of the apartment.

Police searched the area and eventually found the man hiding in some bushes near the entrance of the apartment complex.  The man was bitten by a police K9 after refusing to surrender, police said.

The alleged attacker was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center to be treated for puncture wounds.  Police said he will be booked into jail after his release from the hospital.

The victim was treated on scene for minor injuries.
