ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orange County Jail is not saying anything about plans to transport a New Hampshire couple back home because of security concerns after they were arrested at Universal Orlando on allegations of beating and burning the woman's 3-year-old son.
Police took 23-year-old Jessica Linscott and her boyfriend, 27-year-old Roland Dow, into custody Wednesday evening while the couple was watching a parade at the theme park. They were wanted on warrants from New Hampshire.
"I don't know her boyfriend and I really don't want to know him," said Linscott's uncle.
A spokesman for the Orange County Jail said they would not release any information about transportation plans for the couple, who face extradition. The spokesman did not elaborate on the security concerns.
Dow is charged with first- and second-degree assault. Linscott is charged with multiple counts of child endangerment.
Police say the boy's condition is improving but added that his recovery will be long and difficult. Police said the boy's injuries required brain surgery and at one point, he was blind from the injuries.
