NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Firefighters extinguished a fire at 205 Milford Place Sunday, fire officials said.
Firefighters said they arrived to a structure with heavy smoke and fire that was burning from a dining room into the attic.
Crews attacked the fire and prevented it from extending throughout the attic and into the rest of the home.

Edgewater and Volusia County firefighters were on site assisting.
The cause of fire is under investigation.
