Crews work to put out Osceola County brush fire

835 acres have burned so far, officials say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Crews are working Saturday to put out a brush fire that broke out in Osceola County, the Florida Forest Service said.

Osceola County Fire Rescue crews were at the scene near Suburban Estates at Holopaw Groves Road.

Officials said 835 acres have burned so far. The fire was about 90 percent contained and crews will work on lines Saturday night.

Numerous hunting camps were threatened by the brush fire, officials said.

Authorities will assess damaged structures in daylight.
