Marion County deputies: Man took $2K in cigarettes, change

Man sought in convenience store robbery

REDDICK, Fla. – Marion County detectives are searching for a man who they say robbed a Marion County convenience store when he allegedly took cigarette cartons worth nearly $2,500 and spare change from the register.

The suspect entered Jim's BBQ, located at 7424 W. Highway 318, around 12:30 a.m. wearing dark pants, a dark uniform-style jacket, a light-colored button-down shirt with a black T-shirt underneath and a blue baseball cap with a white insignia.

He was described as a white male between 30 and 45 years old, with gold-framed prescription glasses and a gap in his teeth on the upper right side.
