DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A Daytona Beach father has been arrested on Friday on child neglect charges after deputies say he burned his 2-month-old son.
Volusia County deputies said 33-year-old James Arnold's child suffered burns on more than 50 percent of his body. Arnold told deputies he put the child in the tub and then left the baby unattended for a moment, causing the baby to burn.

Investigators said Arnold waited for more than a day before getting the child formal medical attention.
The baby is now at Arnold Palmer Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
