Seminole County deputies work to find culprits

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -

Deputies have arrested 2 in a string of vehicle break-ins in Seminole County on Wednesday that occurred outside of day care centers.

Kenya Manning, 26, and Quincy Barnes, 22, have been charged with burglary and theft from a motor vehicle after deputies say they broke into cars on Wednesday at the Einstein Academy on North Ronald Reagen, Forest Lake Education Center on Learning Loop and La Petite on Lake Emma.

Manning and Barnes smashed the window of the cars and stole a purse, camera, laptop.

Deputies foundĀ  the vehicle, but the suspects fled. The getaway car was later found abandoned. Manning and Barnes were arrested after authorities searched the area.

Barnes was on probation for grand theft out of Broward County, deputies said, and Manning had multiple suspensions on her license. Both were taken to the Seminole County jail.
