PALM COAST, Fla. – What would you do if you found a wallet containing $3,400 in a parking lot?

Kevin Miller, 27, found such a wallet while he was leaving a PetSmart in Palm Coast, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

Miller saw someone eyeballing the wallet and decided to pick it up. He called the Flagler Country Sheriff's Office to report the wallet stolen.

While waiting for police, he looked inside the wallet, finding $3,400 and several credit cards.

The owner's identification was in the wallet, and Miller met her at a restaurant and returned it to her. She was on vacation from Orlando and had taken out the money for a trip with her family.

Miller, a construction worker, said God placed him in the right place for a reason. “I could have really used that money," he said. "But I believe in honesty and respecting other people’s belongings, especially $3,400. And I’d want someone to do that for me.”

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office will nominate Miller for an award to honor his integrity.
