The employee notified the agency of the arrest in a timely manner. Authorities said she has not had client contact since and has been placed on leave.

Initially, DCF offered the employee the opportunity to resign, however, DCF said that was declined. She has since been provided a notice of intent to dismiss regarding her employment.

DCF said the employee has the opportunity to respond to the agency at an upcoming hearing where the department will take her account of the circumstances into consideration.

The individual has been employed with the agency for approximately two years, according to DCF. A preliminary review of her personnel file did not reveal any disciplinary actions.
