NORTH MIAMI, Fla. - Police are investigating after a baby's body was found inside a box at a South Florida gas station.

North Miami police were called about 6 a.m. to a U-Gas station on Northwest 119th Street.

WPLG-TV in Miami reported that the baby's remains were found inside a small cardboard box that was placed in front of a garage door. There was a sheet over the box.

Police said the infant was less than a month old.

The body was taken to a medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.

No other information was immediately released.
