Deltona husband shoots wife with kids in home

Cries before judge in first appearance

DELTONA, Fla. – Body camera video released Monday shows the aftermath of the shooting of a woman by her husband. Deputies rescued 26-year-old Victoria Rosado and her three children after Rosado claimed her husband, 26-year-old Emmanuel Rosado, went crazy.

"He's locking me in the house. He took my phone. I just found it. He won't leave. I just will ask him to leave and he just won't. I'm just scared because he put his hands on me before," Victoria Rosado said in a 911 call.

Rosado told dispatch her husband has a license to carry and had two guns in the house, including an AR-15 on the couch. She also told dispatchers he had a 9 mm handgun on his waist and wouldn't do anything to deputies because he's respectful when it comes to authorities.

However, the situation escalated. The couple argued in one room, while family members told News 6, three children hid inside a closet. Investigators said once Rosado shot his wife in the pelvis, he unloaded rounds on deputies.

The children were rescued before Emmanuel Rosado surrendered.

He cried when he appeared before a judge Monday and was ordered to be held without bail on first-degree attempted murder.

Close friends told News 6 that they're shocked that this happened and it's not all the husband's fault.

"He was trying to get away from her. A long time ago," one friend said.

The couple got married just a few weeks ago and relatives said the wife was already trying to separate from him.

Rosado remains in the hospital with injuries to her pelvis.  The family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for her medical and moving expenses. If you'd like to donate, please click on the link below. https://www.gofundme.com/2g8puj2p
