Demolition makes way for Delaney Hotel and Tavern

Delaney Hotel and tavern to open May 2017

ORLANDO, Fla. – Plans are moving forward for a new hotel in south downtown Orlando, but before it can happen the inside of a building will need to have a date with the wrecking ball.

Demolition began Tuesday morning on the building along Orange Avenue, near Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The building will become Delaney's Hotel and Tavern, set to open in May 2017.

A group of doctors and community leaders have partnered up to turn the building into a hotel and tavern, which is set to open in May 2017.
