Deputies: Burglar breaks into Osteen home, eats bowl of soup

Victims says 2 pocket watches, orange soda also missing

OSTEEN, Fla. – A burglar broke into an Osteen woman's home, stole two pocket watches and prescription drugs and also ate a bowl of soup and drank a soda, Volusia County deputies said.

Deputies said the victim left her home on Buckshot Avenue on Monday morning to go to work and when she returned at 3:30 p.m., she noticed the front door was open and her house had been rummaged through.

According to deputies, the victim noticed two antique pocket watches and a prescription bottle of pills were missing. She then noticed the culprit ate a bowl of Campell's tomato soup and drank one of her orange sodas, leaving the aluminum can behind.

No suspect information was provided.

The case remains under investigation.
