A Central Florida man was arrested on suspicion of threatening to kill his wife over dirty cat litter.
Avelino Urbano Garon was arrested on assault charges in Palm Coast after an argument with his wife turned violent, Flagler County deputies said.
According to deputies, the couple had been arguing over whose responsibility it was to change the cat litter when Garon threatened to throw their cat against the wall. He then picked up a knife and threatened to kill his wife, deputies said.
Flagler deputies say Garon, 59, told them he believes a wife is responsible for cleaning the litter box.
Garon was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and later released on $1,000 bond.
