Orange County deputies say they arrested a man who went on an armed robbery spree on International Drive late Friday night.
Deputies said around 11 p.m. Friday, they were called to 8959 International Drive at the Walgreen's for an armed robbery.
The victim was approached by a man, later identified as 39-year-old Carl McCranie, who was armed with a knife.
The victim told deputies he was walking out through the parking lot when McCranie grabbed his bag of things he just bought from the Walgreen's store.
Deputies said the victim struggled with McCranie and was cut on his arm. McCranie then fled the area in a silver Volkswagen.
Around 11:30 p.m. deputies were called to the CVS Pharmacy at 10701 International Drive about another robbery.
Deputies said McCranie approached the victim as he was making a purchase inside the store and snatched his wallet at the register.
McCranie ran out the store with the victim and several other customers running after him, deputies said.
The victim and the other customers caught up with McCranie in the parking lot and attempted to detain him but were unsuccessful, deputies said.
Deputies said McCranie broke loose, jumped in his car and got away, but they were able to catch up with him and arrest him at the Howard Johnson's hotel where he was staying.
McCranie was taken to the Orange County Jail where he was booked in on multiple charges.
