Man taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, cops say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County deputies are investigating after a man was hurt in a shooting Friday night.

The shooting was reported at Rio Grande Avenue and 28th Street just after 10 p.m.

Orlando police said they were originally called to a scene in the 2800 block of LB Mcleod Rd, where the man had been shot in the right arm and grazed by a bullet in the stomach.

The investigation determined that the shooting incident occurred in Orange County Sheriff's Office jurisdiction, and deputies took over the aggravated battery investigation.

The 42-year-old  victim, who has not been identified, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.

No other details were immediately available.
