Person shot in Daytona Beach home invasion, deputies say

Incident happened on Granada Avenue

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home invasion after one person was shot Friday night in Daytona Beach.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Granada Avenue. Two victims inside the home told deputies that that two masked men came into the house and demanded money, deputies said.

One of the masked men shot one person in the abdomen, the Sheriff's Office said. The victim was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center for his injuries.

Deputies said the incident was not random and appears to be drug-related.
