Deputies: Landlord shot, killed tenant in Orlando apartment

Landlord not facing charges, deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Deputies have released the name of the man who was found shot to death by his landlord in an Orlando apartment.

Deputies said Larry Duggan, 41, was found dead at about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at 744 McDougall Court. According to an OCSO release, Duggan went to the homeowner's house and asked for money. When the homeowner complied, Duggan went into the home uninvited and threatened the homeowner with a knife, deputies said.

The homeowner got a gun and fired at Duggan, then called 911 and helped  Duggan under paramedics arrived. Duggan died at the scene, deputies said.

Deputies said the homeowner was allowing the victim to stay in another unit at the Plaza de Las Fuentes complex. The homeowner and Duggan were acquaintances, deputies said.

The homeowners name has not been released.
