VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -

Volusia County deputies have identified on Monday the victim of a fatal shooting in a club parking lot over the weekend.

Deputies said autopsy results found the victim, who was originally thought to be Terrell Lesane, is really his 28-year-old twin brother Jeriell Lesane, of Daytona Beach.

The shooting occurred at about 4:58 a.m., Saturday, just as a crowd was gathering outside of Papi's Bottle Club on North Nova Road. Officials said two deputies were close enough to the scene to hear a fight breaking out in the parking lot and as they arrived, they heard gunshots.

Moments later, deputies said more gunfire was heard about a half a block away at Nova Road and 8th Street where more blood was discovered.

Deputies said they found Jeriell Lesane in the street, who was taken by ambulance to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, where he was later pronounced dead at 6:52 p.m., deputies said.

The fight began inside of Papi's Bottle Club right before closing time that spilled out into the parking lot as patrons filed out of the club, deputies said.

Deputies are still searching for the man they are calling a person of interest to see if he knows anything about the fight. Contact authorities if you have any information on the incident.
