VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -

Volusia County deputies said they arrested a 53-year-old Ormond Beach man who is facing two counts of lewd or lascivious exhibition after he was accused on Friday of exposing himself to two young girls.

Deputies said they were called to the 1400 block of Avenue C in Ormond Beach, after they got a complaint at 3:16 p.m. regarding an alleged sex offense.

Two girls, ages 12 and 13, were playing hide-and-seek in a backyard when one of them looked over in the direction of a nearby property, deputies said.

Deputies said that's when one of the girls saw 51-year-old Michael East sitting on his back porch.

While looking in his direction, the girl said East exposed himself from underneath his shorts and began to touch himself lewdly, deputies said.

The other girl said she also saw East exposing himself. Deputies said the girls immediately ran inside and told a parent what had happened.

Deputies said when the parent confronted East, he took off on foot.

When deputies arrived to talk to the parent, East arrived and they were able to take him into questioning.

East was taken to the Volusia County Jail and booked on a $20,000 bond.
