Deputies search for armed hotel robber in Orlando

Clerk at Rodeway Inn not injured in robbery

ORLANDO, Fla. – Deputies continue to search for a man who robbed an Orange County hotel at gunpoint.

The robbery happened around 9 p.m. Monday at the Rodeway Inn at 6119 S. Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando.

According to Orange County sheriff's deputies, a man carrying a weapon entered the hotel, demanded money and fled after robbing the business.

The clerk was shaken up but not injured.

Surveillance video shows the robber armed with a semiautomatic handgun and wearing a hood, hat and bandana covering his face.

Anyone with any information about the robbery is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said they don't believe the robbery is connected to other hotel robberies that have occurred in the area.
