Man accused of bank robbery in Osceola arrested, deputies say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Thursday for his involvement in a Chase Bank branch robbery on July 6, authorities said.

Derek Randall Beasley was arrested and charged with one count of robbery and one count of grand theft.

Beasley was booked into the Highlands County Jail.

Beasley entered the Chase Bank on South John Young Parkway in Kissimmee on July 6, handed a note to the teller and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.

The incident was similar to a bank robbery June 28 at the Bank of America branch at 111 W. Oak St. in Kissimmee.

Detectives said Beasley is not cooperating in the investigation.
