CITRA, Fla. – Two teens were arrested Friday on allegations of bringing a shotgun and ammunition to a Marion County high school--and deputies say the teens had plans to rob stores.
14-year-old ninth-grader Alexander Aten was arrested after another student heard about the gun and reported it to officials at North Marion High School at 151 West Highway 329 in Citra.
Donavin Salvania-Scott was also involved and has been arrested, deputies said. The teens will be charged with possession of firearm on school property, possession of a weapon on school property, possession of a firearm by a minor and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Deputies said the teens had plans of robbing a convenience store and a Gander mountain store.
The gun was found around 9 a.m. in a baseball bat bag in the bleachers of the football stadium, officials said.

Aten told school administrators that he took the gun to school because he was going skeet shooting with a friend over the weekend, officials said. Investigators later found it was a cover up for a planned robbery attempt, according to deputies.
The pair admitted they wanted to use the shotgun to rob the Gander store by shooting through the back door, holding the employees at gunpoint, and using a smoke bomb to block security cameras. Once inside they planned to steal 15 guns. They picked out those guns while on the internet at school, officials said.
"We have zero tolerance for weapons. We'll deal with the student as far as discipline goes," said Kevin Christian, spokesman for Marion County Schools.
The school was not placed on lockdown, but a phone call alerted parents of the situation.
"There was never a threat against the school, there was never a threat against anybody at the school," Christian said. "This was supposedly something that was brought onto the campus to use later today or this weekend."
Students told Local 6 having the gun on campus made them feel uneasy.
"It kind of makes me wonder what else other people can have in bags like that, that they just around at school," said junior Katie Aldrich.
Deputies continue to investigate. No one was injured.
