Deputies: Umatilla high school volunteer charged with child porn

Investigators say Robert Frieszell, 21, was having relationship with student

UMATILLA, Fla. – Lake County deputies arrested a high school band volunteer and reserve police officer on child pornography charges after administrators received reports he was having a sexual relationship with one of his students.

Robert Frieszell, 21, is accused of asking a female student to send him nude pictures and messaging her on Facebook about porn and sex acts, according to Lake County deputies.  Investigators said Frieszell, a reserve police officer for Fruitland Park, sent a text message to another minor offering to distribute the pictures.

The band director also told deputies two students told him there was a relationship between Frieszell and a student, and that an incident happened on October 10. The incident was reported to deputies by the Umatilla High School assistant principal on October 12, sparking the investigation and resulting in Frieszell's arrest  on Monday.

According to the report, investigators found 30 pictures of child under the age of 18 engaging in sexual conduct on Frieszell's laptop. Frieszell was jailed and his bond was set at $150,000.

The investigation is ongoing and according to the report, Frieszell is no longer a volunteer at the high school.
