Disney installs more radio frequency technology

Addition part of 'Next Generation' experience

ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World is installing more radio frequency technology this week as a way to make guests' park experience simpler.

The addition is part of the park's "Next Generation" project. Among other advances, guests will be allowed to wave their hotel keys to get a fast-pass, or make purchases at the park.

Guests will also be able to use a wristband to get into the park and make purchases. The disposable, waterproof wristband is also rumored to serve as the guests' FastPasses and hotel room key, and allow guests to digitally load daily passes to the band.
