WALT DISNEY WORLD, Fla. – Disney World has announced its latest price hike, increasing a single-day ticket to $89.
Effective Sunday, it costs $89 plus tax for a one-day, one-park ticket. The new total marks a $4 and 4.7 percent increase.

The announcement from the entertainment giant came about a week after rival theme park Universal Orlando raised its ticket price to $88.
The biggest Disney price hikes impact annual passholders and vacationers buying multi-day passes. At $288, the price of a seven-day pass went up 7.9 percent.
The priciest pass, the premium annual pass now costs $699, up 7.7 percent, though Florida residents continue to receive significant discounts.
