ORLANDO, Fla. - A new search was launched Wednesday for Michelle Parker, a missing mother of three who vanished after appearing on a TV show in November.
Orlando police and the Orange County Sheriff's Office dive team were searching in and around a body of water near the 4800 of South Orange Blossom Trail. A nearby pond, located behind the shuttered nightclub Off the Wall, was also being searched, Orlando police said.
But the search came up empty.
"There was nothing of evidentiary value to this incident discovered," according to an OPD release.
OPD crime scene vans arrived on scene Wednesday afternoon.
Parker's family was at the scene and said they were informed on Tuesday that the search would be conducted. Family members said they're hopeful that some clues will be uncovered and are grateful that tips are still being provided by the community.
"Well obviously this is a viable place that is possible so if she's here, I hope we find her," said Parker's mother Yvonne Stewart.
A nearby business owner said a sheriff's boat was at the lake on Tuesday and returned around 9 a.m. Wednesday.
"The police patrol this lakeside all night long," said Abby Rabbat, owner of a car dealership nearby. "They hang out here."
Rabbat said he thought it would be difficult for anyone to dispose of evidence because deputies are always nearby looking for trespassers.
Parker, 34, was last seen on Nov. 17, the same day an episode of "The People's Court" aired. Parker appeared on the show with her 40-year-old ex-fiance, Dale Smith, and they argued over who was responsible for the cost of a missing $5,000 engagement ring.
Orlando police have named Smith as a suspect in Parker's disappearance, but he has not been charged with any crime.
Smith, the father of Parker's of twins, has been granted custody of the children. Parker also has an 11-year-old son from another relationship.
The body of water police were searching in is about 11 miles from Smith's home and about 5 miles from the area where Parker's Hummer was recovered shortly after her disappearance was reported.
Orlando police said the department is following all tips and leads in the case.
