“The dogs all seem to be sweet and some are understandably scared,” said Susan Naylor, the public relations coordinator for the SPCA. “They’ve been through so much in just a couple days and their lives have been turned upside down.”

SPCA officials said all of the dogs seem to be fairly healthy, with the exception of some skin conditions, and a couple of them being possibly blind and/or deaf.

The dogs will be examined by the SPCA staff veterinarian, and will be updated on any necessary vaccines, as well as spayed or neutered before they are placed for adoption, officials said.

New arrivals. Please note, these dogs are not available for adoption yet and we will not be accepting applications on them at this time. We will announce when we will accept applications on Facebook. They have been through a lot the past few days and we want to be sure they receive the very best care possible until it is time for them to find forever homes. Thank you for your patience.
