Dogs rescued from South Korean meat trade arrive in Orlando

Organization has rescued 770 dogs

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two hundred dogs were flown from South Korea to Orlando after they were rescued from a dog meat farm by Humane Society International.

The dogs will be taken to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom and will placed for adoption.

The group of dogs heading to the United States landed Tuesday evening at Orlando International Airport. They were picked up by different Florida shelters that are part of the Humane Society program. 

This is the sixth dog meat farm rescue that Humane Society International has performed. In total, the group has saved 770 dogs.

In addition to the group of dogs that landed in Orlando Tuesday night, more will arrive on Wednesday and Thursday.
