Dogs that showed up on FHP doorstep may be put down

George, Gracie aggressive toward other dogs

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two dogs that showed up on the doorstep of the Florida Highway Patrol headquarters in Orlando are now in danger of being euthanized.

A FHP employee adopted the dogs, named George and Gracie, but said the animals keep running away.

Animal Services told Local 6 that George and Gracie are aggressive toward other dogs so they cannot be placed in another home.

Animal Services said it's trying to find a rescue group to take the dogs, which are scheduled to be euthanized on Tuesday. Rescue groups have until Monday to adopt the dogs. Officials said it's possible the timetable could be pushed back.
