Legal experts say offensive lineman Jonathan Martin could successfully sue the Miami Dolphins under a variety of workplace laws that make employers liable for bullying, harassment and discrimination -- even if the team didn't know about it.
Attorneys and law professors say Martin would have to show the harassment or bullying went far beyond typical NFL locker room hazing. Martin's attorney has said it was much worse.
Martin left the team more than two weeks ago. The Dolphins then suspended lineman Richie Incognito indefinitely for detrimental conduct. Incognito was apparently Martin's main tormenter.
An NFL investigator is set to meet with Martin on Friday in Los Angeles.
